DRT 2025 RECAP

Eleven years later, it's still as good as always...

This year DRT was a little different. Some might say, nostalgic?

After years of shuffling around from its original birth ground of Sunset Place in Miami, it's back at Sunset!

Ignoring the imminent demolition of the iconic mall turned ghost town, Das Renn Treffen was set up within its grounds and the surrounding streets just like the good old days. This makes it seem almost full circle to me as this exact event made me get into Porsches.

Not only is it what kicked off my love of Porsche, but it's the very first event I wrote about on March 23, 2017 (don't read that article I was even worse than this at blogging).

It made me realize just how passionate the ownership circle of Porsche enthusiasts is. That event introduced me to the character Magnus Walker, and after eleven years of being around, an incredible crowd still comes and shows support. There are always new cars showing up making it even bigger and better than before.

This year's main event spanned two days with tons of activities and pop-ups throughout the now-empty mall, filling old stores with cars, art, and more.

Organized by the entire team at ZWECK and founded by Alvaro Rodriguez and his family, DRT is the epitome of South Florida's Porsche community.
